UNSOUND 2011

Artists in Residence at UNSOUND festival Krakow Poland “OUR ART ON YOUR SLEEVE”: GUERILLA SCREEN PRINTING

This is festival merchandising with a difference, an experimental screen printing session run by Zeb Schulz and Sunita Bala of the Impossible Assembly. Images of

the future from the past have been selected by the artists and installed on a variety of silk screens. Interested collaborators can select images and

print these themselves onto their own clothing. A burst of hairdryer heat is applied, followed by an iron, and hey presto “our art on your sleeve”…. or

sticker or fridge magnet or car. You bring it, we’ll print it – in about minutes! Every participant becomes an artist whether by printing their own image or combining others in a unique way. Together, you’ll collaborate with The Impossible Assembly to create a multifaceted geomorphic artwork moving and static throughout the festival and city. The aim: 5000 original artworks in 7 days.
